Systems Architecture
We define the structures, interfaces, and behaviours that let complex systems hold together under real constraints — and stay coherent as they evolve.
Systems Engineering Consulting
Altus Engineering partners with aerospace, defence, energy, and industrial teams to architect, integrate, and verify complex systems — from early concept through certification and into operations.
What we do
Each capability stands on its own, but the value comes from how they connect — requirements feeding architecture, architecture feeding verification, verification feeding the next decision.
We define the structures, interfaces, and behaviours that let complex systems hold together under real constraints — and stay coherent as they evolve.
Turning stakeholder needs into requirements that are clear, testable, and traceable from concept through to verification.
SysML models that keep architecture, requirements, and analysis in one consistent picture — not scattered across documents.
Bringing subsystems together in a controlled sequence, surfacing interface issues early rather than at acceptance.
Evidence that a system meets its requirements — and that it does what the people who'll use it actually need.
Independent technical oversight that surfaces risk early enough on a programme to actually do something about it.
How we work
Most of what goes wrong on a complex programme goes wrong at the boundaries — between requirements and design, between subsystems, between what was specified and what was built. The V‑Model keeps both halves of that relationship visible: every requirement has a verification, and every design decision traces back to a need.
Who we work with
Avionics, propulsion, and airframe systems integration.
Mission systems, C2, and platform integration programmes.
Generation, grid, and control system architectures.
Signalling, rolling stock, and safety case support.
Spacecraft, ground segment, and constellation architectures.
Control systems, safety functions, and process integration.
Why Altus
Altus Engineering is a team of systems engineers who've worked inside the programmes we now support — in roles spanning architecture, integration, test, and certification. We work as an extension of your engineering team: embedded enough to know the programme, independent enough to say what needs to be said.
We're brought in when a programme needs structure around a hard technical problem — a requirements baseline that's drifted, an integration that keeps slipping, a verification campaign that needs a credible plan. Founded in 2014, the practice now spans aerospace, defence, energy, and industrial clients.
